New Year

So this is the new year for this blog about Sherman Bible Chapel EDGE blog! Yes indeed, we are up and running. Things are going well with the youth group. We are having a great time and loving and learning more about Christ and our relationship with Him! Good times good times. Anyway, hopefully we will have more action on this thing this year. Look forward to more info about upcoming events and whats happening at the EDGE! over and oudda here!!

BBQ on Hold!

So we can't seem to get an open weekend that will work for the BBQ at this point so we will try to figure that out and let you all know. There are a couple other fundraisers going on on these weekends that we have been trying to do it on so that is slowing us down. Anyway, we will get it in sometime soon hopefully! Stay tuned!

BBQ Date change

So we are going to be doing a chicken bbq for the Senior Youth Group on the 6th of June which is a Saturday and we are going to be having it across from the Deposit State Theater. We will be having some of the youth cooking and some of them selling as well so it should be great fun! Be there!

Summer is almost here!!!

So yeah, summer is coming and we are excited! We have some really cool things going on this summer like a trip to Oquaga Creek State Park and a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure. Look em up, they are pretty cool. At the end of the summer we are also going to be taking a trip to New Life Island in New Jersey to go tubing down the massive Delaware River! Should be awesome!!! 

Also, if you're not already going to a camp this summer, or even if you are! Check out Bayouca Camp. I went there for every possible year that I could until I was too old and they wouldn't let me come as a camper, and the I was a counselor! Its the Bomb! And I hear its better this year than ever before so check em out and do it soon!

Anyway so that is a couple of the things that are our bigger events this summer. We will still be doing some game nights and things of that nature as well so stay tuned and find out what's happening!

BMETS!!!

So on the 1st of May we as a youth group are going to the bmets game! Pretty awesome! The game starts at 7 so we will be leaving by 6 from the EDGE. Should be an awesome time and plus there will be fireworks after the game! I have to have a total number of people by tomorrow so tomorrow will be the last day that anyone can give me money. Hopefully everyone who wants to come will get their money in! Till next time!

Monday Youth Group

If you are new to this blog, we are the EDGE which is the Every Day Grace Experience. See? E.D.G.E. Pretty cool right? Anyway, we meet in Deposit NY on front street from 6:30 to 8 and Play activities such as ping pong, foose ball, Super Smash Brothers, Shaun White Snowboarding, and a number of other games that we come up with or just feel like playing like Jenga, clue, spoons, uno, and others. After games we have a time of Singing lead by our worship Leader and in house Artist Rick Marland. After singing we have a time of bible study where we take Scripture and discover what God has for us to live by and live toward. After that we have have small groups where we can discuss the lesson or the quiet times for the week and discover how we can use the things that we learned in very real ways in our lives. After that we dismiss and have some more time for games and chillin. So if you have never been, come on down and help us Glorify God and have fun doing it!

Bowling

So we are going bowling tonight at sunset lanes in kirkwood! It should be lots of fun. Hopefully we will be doing some Raking tomorrow as well! fun fun.
